oing for the full airport experience. This is supposed to be a “New Orleans” breakfast. The only thing different is the inclusion of grits. Totally bland.

But which New York? LGA or JFK? Maybe even EWR? Presumably not upstate (we all know that doesn’t count). EWR is the least bad in my opinion, though LGA looks like it will be pretty fancy once they finish renovations:
I’m sad that they’ve torn down the old A rt D eco hangars though (not shocked though given that space is clearly at a premium.)

Also of note: Just because the lights are on at 2am at the KFC on Flatbush Ave in BK, it does not necessarily mean they are open.

I flew in an out of the new terminal B at LGA about a month ago, can confirm it is fancy, even though it does seem like there’s not enough seating . However, baggage check and security are still classic LGA.
Also the road
construction leaving/entering
the airport is so bad that I can’t even.

Not enough seating seems to be considered a feature in modern airport design. Encouraging you to wait at an overpriced restaurant rather than at the gate. In the newly renovated sections of IAH it’s common to have (fairly comfortable) seating for 20 at gates that service 150 seat 737s, which is hard to see as a real upgrade.
Of course pre-renovation, the central terminal at LGA was hopelessly cramped anyway, possibly the worst terminal I’ve ever been in.

That train works pretty well, though they could stand to be more frequent. I’m not sure if it’s still the case, but when I was living in the city, there were occasionally some really large gaps in the time table for whatever reason. Also Penn S tation sucks, tear down MSG and do it right!

Nowhere near it.
The rap quotes above reference Harlem.
Queens is huge, but some fun things are Astoria (Greek food, hipster restaurants, Bohemia beer garden) or Flushing China Town (Golden Mall food court, Xi’an famous foods) or the old Worlds Fair grounds are a nice (huge) park with the globe sculpture thing and the towers from Men In Black.
Also the Mets if that’ s your thing, but they’re the Mets, soooo.

I’ll probably take the car from the hotel to the courthouse and then take it right back when I’m done. My testimony is important enough that they don’t want me to get lost or mugged somewhere along the way. :)
